So yesterday I was in an actual hobby shop, buying paint. As usual I took time to check out their model selection, as I am always fascinated by what from my childhood is still available and what new kits there are. So I find a pack of PSC Soviet 45mm AT guns. 4 for $25 USD, with crews and options for 3 types of guns. Great, I think to myself, there look interesting. But they were 1/72. So I hunt around and find the equivalent 15mm set. Which also provides 4 guns with 3 different options and crews. For $33. USD Interesting, thinks I, maybe it's a pricing error. But no, checking the PSC web site, I find that the 1/72 set is 12.50 GBP, the 15mm set 16.50 GPB. So, can anyone give a good explanation why the 15mm set if 32% more expensive than the 1/72? I can't see why it would cost that much more to produce, even if there are 4 more crew figures. Or is this simply a case of differential pricing based on how many units of each PSC thinks it will sell? |

Never noticed that, fascinating
Maybe they think that because they are competing mainly with FoW, they can ask more and still be cheaper??? |

No idea about the guns but for vehicles you usually get a load more in a box in 15mm than you do in 1/72. |

You get only two in the 1:72 set. |

You get only two in the 1:72 set. Not according to their web site or the box art: link |

You get 4 in the 1/72 set, 5 in the 1/100 set. But the same pricing rationale applies to others in the series – 15mm T34 $35.00 AUD for 5, 1/72 T34 $26.00 AUD for 3
I guess it is indeed what the market will bear – I will bear a lot at this quality! My only beef is that the range isn't expanding fast enough! |

You get 4 in the 1/72 set, 5 in the 1/100 set. Again, not according to their web site, or the box: link Is the box wrong? Has anyone bought the 15mm version and found it to contain 5 guns instead of 4? |

I have the 15mm version. It has four guns. Option to build any mix of ZIS-2, 45mm or 76mm infantry guns, but only four. It does include ammo boxes as well though. Four nice little pieces. |

Because they expect to sell more in 1/72 than 15mm so there is more tooling costs to spread out over the production run for 15mm? Binky says "OINK" |

You normally get 3 sprues in a 1/72 box and 5 in a 15mm. In addition for 15mm you can buy additional sprues 'reinforcements', which you can't for 1/72. There is a much wider range of tanks in 15mm and there was recently a 15% sale in 15mm. I' sure that Will at PSC would like to sell as much in 15mm as he does in 1/72. |

Oops. Just remembered 4 guns in the 1/72 set but for tanks and infantry it's 3 sprites. |
