To add to the confusion, I would suggest 2 distinct types w the curved top. One has sides which go out at a consistent angle, like a belltop, but which is low and has a concave top.

The second has sides which are slightly concave and which flare out more acutely at the upper part of the sides, again w a concave top. This is the shako which is modelled by all or most miniature companies.
