So I have the initial prototype done. It still needs some detail work and a few errors corrected but it came out ok for the first run.

I forgot to make the part that caps off the end and I can't install it once the gate is glued in. I'm also going to make the gunner and driver sections easier to put together. I lost the front piece for the driver so it's missing. Tiny parts. The door will be one piece and fit in a slot at the bottom for easy alignment but you can easily cut it in half and glue them on the sides for a gate down doors open look. They will need to be trimmed but I'll add an etched line to help with that. I'm extending them into the MDF so all the pieces have an extra 3mm to them.

Here is a shot of it next to the primed LCVP.

I also need to widen it a bit. It's taller then it should be but the center is too small to put side by side figs in it. So I raised it so the shoulders should fit under the sides. You can almost put two 25mm base figs side by side now. The idea will be that their heads sit at the level of the deck and right next to it in two neat rows. I had to compromise because they are normally sitting in 3 rows on benches. I also know which one I want to ride in if it comes to it. LCA feels a lot safer then the LCVP. Nice armored sides and a deck over your head.

Wow that was quick, I read your earlier plea at lunchtime and now see you've made something before teatime.

I'm very interested to see where this theme is going.

Just as a guess, you know, to keep me up at night …

Roughly how long do you think it would take for these to go on sale?

A week or so. Not sure. I need to paint them before release but I'm not going to do much more then spray them the appropriate sea grey. I need to concentrate on getting my outstanding orders down for the next few days. I also have some larger custom orders to deal with.

The LCA will probably take 2-3 hours to finalize and the LCVP needs about the same. I'm going to shorten it a bit to allow me to cram two of them onto one sheet. The Jap boat doesn't look too complicated to make but I'm having trouble finding details on it. I might just wing it using the wikipedia dimensions.

Any chance for a 15mm LCC and/or LCS? The Battlegroup rules have them as options!
