40+ units of infantry, support weapons, vehicles and mechs slug it out on the edge of a Rebel controlled city.

Wow! These battles are quick and bloody. You can get several games into an afternoon of playing. :)

Only if you do stupid things like I did with the bad set up. But yes, it goes by a t a pretty good clip if you're not using cover.

Sweet!

Ed – Are there specific Mech rules or are they treated like vehicles? Just curious.

Ed the Two Hour Wargames guy12 Oct 2013 1:47 a.m. PST

The mechs are definitely different than vehicles and more than a match if similar sizes.

Mechs can fire at two targets (splitting fire), twist their torso 90 degrees and still fire, beat the stuffing out of a vehicle by "kicking the can" (basically if they lose the melee the vehicle just breaks off without inflicting damage).
Move's consistently whether on road or cross country where a vehicle has two rates. But a mech is ore vulnerable to satchel charges and similar due to the legs.

I'll be doiong a follow up battle using the Death in the Cities scenario.
