aren't cheap! I've been struggling with the 15mm/20mm debate and after doing some digging online, I'm seeing 20mm plastic kits in the $8 USD-13 range. Is there a line of cheaper plastic kits I'm missing? If not, then I think my "debate" is over :) |

Airfix run 4-7 dollars each through Squadron. Hat's Armourfast range has two vehicles per pack for about 14-16 dollars. |

Other than PSC and Zveda, there is not so much available in plastic 15mm, so then 15mm resin or metal tanks will cost you a bit too
£5.00 GBP – £8.00 GBP each. Worth remembering. For 20mm check Plastic soldier company and also S-models. Also lots of resin tanks available for cheap from Frontline War gaming and Britannia. |

The others beat me to it but here it is again. Airfix generally run below $8 USD and Armourfast and Pegasus offer two models per box for less than $16. USD You do, however, need to shop around for the best price among some of the usual suspects like (in US) Squadron, Internet Hobbies, Scale Hobbyist etc. as well as look for sales i.e. Squadron and Internet Hobbies just finished some pretty good ones especially for Airfix. I'm sure there are other online shops that offer similar prices. You may find Airfix for a great price on a certain site but the Armourfast may be on the high side so look around. link link

Check out the TMP marketplace. There were two listings last time I looked. Vince |

Virtually everything in the Squadron catalog will go on sale at some point in the year, if you're willing to wait for it. Doug |

I much prefer the Britannia 20mm armor to plastic kits. More durable on the wargame table, lots of neat stowage, and not all those plastic parts to put together. Tom |

Don't forget the diecast and other material toys you can find. You may not want them ready made but they can be found on sale quite a bit. Dragon has some of these and probably quite a few other companies? |

Pegasus ought to be inexpensive in 1/72. Over here, they're about 40 yuan ($5) for 2 vehicles. Italeri has a quick-build line with two in a box, but not nearly so nice as Pegasus. |

What all these gentlemen have said. The S Models range seems to be going from strength to strength, as is PSC. Though I must admit I'm just as big a fan of Frontline and Britannia, not to mention Raventhorpe's Ready to Roll. |

You need to check out Early war miniatures and the 20mmZone. Here you will find highly detailed, genuine rapid build I.e. sub 5 minutes models, light weight models designed for the gamers. It's a growing range and together represents in excess of 850 products covering WW1 &WW2. New models added every week. link Some of our quality kits are even cheaper than plastic ones!

In addition to the ones that have already been mentioned IIRC most of the Russian/Eastern European manufacturers tend to go rather cheaply around here. Although I kinda yearn for the gamer's models (HAT, Pegasus etc) since building up a model with gazillion fiddly bits will take up hours and end result will be somewhat brittle. Compare that to, say, 6-part model. Heh, one of my favourites among the opposites was a model of T-26 (from UM perhaps) that had around 100 to 126 parts
