Superb article, I am still confused as to how closely units followed these regulations. I know that there was a great variety of uniforms within the Spanish Army, what about within the same batallion? |

Hope this isn't too off-topic, but don't forget this site. A little Albuera stuff here, but lots of uniform and organizational info for everybody else (except the Spanish)

I have used Steve's Balagan on a regular basis over the years. In particular I find his pages on the Peninsular War Spanish are very useful. |

I was thrilled to find this site. There is so little on the Spanish army, especially in the years between 1808 and 1812. Osprey finally produced some fine books, but there is always so much more to discover about the Spanish army. Steve Balagan has put a lot of information from different sources together so us poor gamers at least have a good start at putting this army together. And thanks to you Tango01 for giving us the link. I'm sure many gamers will find this invaluable. |
