What an incredible figure – and doesn't it paint up well? I've only got a few personalities in my army, but this is one i must get, not just because it's a great figure, but there's the challenge to paint it as well as it deserves. Another great figure Ged, and I hope this means you'll be doing a range of Napoleonic figures to accompany Murat – we can't have him all on his own can we!!!? I look forward to news about about a future range. Best Wishes davejl |

I was just browsing the various posts and found this. The painting is stunning for a 28mm. Congratulations. The sculpt on the figure, especially the head, is similarly outstanding. Well done. Are you planning to produce more personality figures within the Napoleonic series? Kind regards John |
jammy four | 05 Dec 2013 1:34 p.m. PST |
John appreciate the kind comments i do indeed mean to have other fascinating Napoleonic personalites sculpted
the wants list is long as you may well imagine!! regards Ged gringo40s.com gringo40s.blogspot.com |

It must be murder to get started in this market. The snag must be that no one will want two Murats, however wonderful your work. You may sell to lots of individual enthusiasts, one figure each. Produce a Frenchman with his musket held against his side trudging along, or a British infantryman firing his piece, and you'll sell hundreds
except they have been done to death. Unless you come up with a new pose, that appeals to the wargamers, who buy figures en masse
.. So try the minority interest, the trumpeter of the train, the Prussian medics as in Westfalia
.but you will still not rival the profits of Microsoft or Facebook and make your fortune. Really look forward to seeing the range expanded. Ordering one figure does seem a bit odd! Now, the day you do Gendarmes d'Elite or 2nd Eclaireurs of the Guard, that is different! |
jammy four | 06 Dec 2013 3:02 a.m. PST |
Deadhead thanks for your support and interesting comments as i summise a fellow Napoleonic buff the market is indeed flooded with French line infantry at March attack pose but believe me there is still room to manoeuvre!!..i have a swathe of releases in the pipeline!! are you the man who recreated Napoleons Carriage? if so top work. im sure you will be pleasantly suprised at the next release regards Ged gringo40s.com gringo40s.blogspot.com gjmfigurines.com |
deadhead | 06 Dec 2013 10:13 a.m. PST |
Well thanks for that! Much appreciated; first time I ever posted anything on this forum, actually. I must do some better photos of the Berline, especially now that I have just received the postal coach from Westfalia. It is beautiful and their postillion is infinitely better than my conversions from Perry Dragoons. Must get assembling and painting! If you future releases are of this standard, you should prove very popular (certainly with me) |

..keeping us keen! What's the guess? I'd say Lasalle
Boney in his early days crossing the Alps maybe
ADC to Murat
..Blucher under his white horse? But then he said "unit", not a single figure! This might be it
the Gendarmes d'Elite
at long last
.I really believe
.finally. (maybe) |

I'll actually be walking from Wavre to Plancenoit one day that week, whilst Mrs Deadhead sits in that expensive Arcade in Brussels drinking coffee, till lunchtime, when she starts on something more fortifying. The two lads are undecided, but, after two trips to the battlefield, are curious to see how Hougoumont is coming on, so I'll be far from South London
(if the rain ever stops that is) |

Now I love the Murat on foot figure. Something completely different and will fit in beautifully with some of my other dismounted French senior management team! It would be great to see Murat in some other costumes, such ast the one he wore at Borodino in 1812. Regardless, awesome figures, will get both in due course. |
jammy four | 11 Feb 2014 4:12 a.m. PST |
i see lead people cheers for that.like you i would love to see more Murats as you can guess im a huge fan of the uniforms worn by him
..his extensive wardrobe is on my list
The uniform at Borodino is cool..as is the Eylau one..o and the Tolentino kit..and etc
etc the list is endless.happy to take any suggestions on him, regards Ged gringo40s.com gringo40s.blogspot.com |
