Confirmed date ranges for themes will be announced shortly.
FoG-AM periods will be varied each year so that all periods will be played on rotation.
Team entries of up to three competitors will be accepted, competing for the overall team competition. Note that no individual may compete as a member of more than one team during the year. The individual overall title will be decided on the best three results. The team title will be the total of the best four team results.
Where possible team members will not be drawn against each other, members of the same club will not be drawn against each other in the first game of each round, and for the first game in each round players will not be be drawn against anyone they've played in a previous Scottish League 2014 event. Family members will not be drawn against each other in any round.
Competition details are
· Each round will consist of three games, each lasting a maximum of 2hrs 20min, plus a random 0-10 minutes.
· Maximum army size is 650pts.
· Table size is 5'x3'.
· Scoring is the usual 0-25 system.
· Play will stop at the end of the current phase being played.
· Amended terrain rules will be used -
o Each player's choice is reduced to 2 or 3 optional pieces
o No piece can be bigger than 9MU in any direction
o No double size pieces may be used
o No terrain piece can be placed (prior to adjustment) closer than 3MU's to any other piece except as listed in the rules on page 140

o If a 5 or 6 is rolled for placing a terrain piece, the distance from the appropriate edge is reduced to 6MU rather than 8MU
· FoG-AM deployment is at 8MU and 12MU inches rather than the usual 10MU and 15MU. FoG-R deployment distances will be announced shortly.
· Draws will be swiss chess with following restrictions
o Where possible team and family members will not be drawn against each other in any game.
o Where possible members of the same club will not be drawn against each other in the first game of any round.
o Where possible, in the first game of any round, players will not be drawn against anyone they've played in a previous Scottish League 2014 event.
o Family members will not be drawn against each other.
