I'm looking into playing Chain of Command (using 15mm as close to scale as possible) recreating the daring British para raid "Operation Biting"
Any links or help with translating a map to table would be most appreciated
or if anyone has played this already in any system their advice or help would be very welcome Thanks John |

This is the Bruneval raid? John Frosts' auto biography has a lot of detail on this op. There are good aerial photos on the net, the house with its drive are very iconic and will make the table look good. |

A search on Google Images produces lots of maps and schematics of the raid |

It's a pity you're in Canada – according to Wiki the original briefing model is at IWM Duxford. You may find that accurate terrain doesn't make for a good game, and may instead want to fictionalise parts in some-way. I also note that the original raid was 120 men strong – so IABSM territory, so if you are being accurate you can only do a part of it. I believe the Lardies have blogged on a fictional game that is inspired by this. |

Yes I had a very sketchy knowledge of the raid (yes the Bruneval raid) but I hadn't realized the amount of troops that were involved
I thought it was a Platoon operation
I had googled alright but I guess I was hoping to see how someone else might have recreated the raid
I spent last night working on a table and I might post pictures later for anyone who might need a good laugh
(I'm not entirely displeased with it but its far from accurate
Thanks to all for your response
