Following up on the post about AWI fast play rules here is a link to a game report using the Fife & Drum one page rules.

A positive experience and ideal for both multiplayer or two player games.
Here are a few images to ponder.

Great looking game. A lot of time and effort invested in the great figures and terrain/scenery.

Where can I find a cvopy of the Fife and Drum rules? I've looked around on TMP but nothing!! Thinking of using them if they fit for 6mm.

I too would like to see the rules. Looks like they are an interesting set.

Noticed you have mostly 4 stands with 4 figures for each unit. I did see a few 5 stand units. I think I saw the militia with only 3 figures per stand. Do the Fife & Drum one page rules make a distinction on figures per bas and number of stands per unit?

Thanks

Matthew

What a great spectacle of a game! Really nicely done.

I have heard mention of the F&D rules but not found a link to them anywhere here. Can anyone help?

Lee.

Thanks for the comments.

I was given a scanned copy of the rules from a friend who attended the SYW Association convention. He played them with Jim/Der Alte Fritz and liked and recommended them.

They are low on the minutia but still gives period flavour, in my opinion. No real command and control but I suppose that sort of thing could be added with house rules. The only changes we made was giving each gun 2 dice (instead of one per figure) and giving a morale dice bonus for rear support.

Firing and combat is calculated per 4 figures. So we just said 1 die per stand. Losses are cumulative so stands got removed with hits. I use a rough 1/20-1/25 ratio so that seems to work well enough.

PM me and I can send a scanned copy.

Beautiful looking game! These rules sound like what I've been looking for. Have been hearing a lot about them. Would love to get a copy, my 15mm AWI troops have been languishing, waiting for just the right rules to mount them up for. Could you direct me towards a copy?
