Continuing with #4 in my series on the Danish Army of the Napolenic Wars, the current post covers the Light Infantry.

Peter (Incidentally, this is the 200th post to the blog since I started it on January 2nd, 2010)

Nicely done! What manufacturer are the figures? They look like old school Minifigs.

A very interesting subject matter.
Keep up the good work.

This blog is turning me into a (even more of) a scandophile….

OG@W: Yes, they are indeed Minifigs from the mid to late 1970's – one of the few manufacturers to have done Danes in 25mm.

Disposalman: Thanks; there are are least six more posts coming in this series.

Optional: Excellent! It is certainly an interesting army; if you want a Napoleonic Army in red that isn't British, then Denmark is the ticket (and we haven't touched on Norway).

Disposalman,

Interesting avatar. I used to wear one of those on my uniform when I commanded 49.

Peter,
Are these 1st gen 25mm Minifigs? If so were these also produced as 2nd gens?

Interesting army though.

John,

They are definitely of the 2nd generation Minifigs released in the mid 1970's; I don't recall if there were Danes in the first generation ones from the late 60's/early 1970's; I only ever had a handful of 1st generation Minifigs…. but lots of 2nd generation ones!

I use my real name on all forums (apart from the army ARRSE), because it was compulsory on the first one I joined, the Napoleon Series.

Completely off-topic, but I went to 49's disbandment parade a few weeks ago. We had 10 former OCs and 6 former SSMs at the dinner. There is now total integration between Royal Engineer and Royal Logistic Corps Bomb Disposal units, a good thing in my view.

I presume 546 Specialist Team was a pre-runner to 590 Squadron.

Completing off-topic I keep up to date via REBDOC and REA.
Do not disagree on RE / RLC integration. REgards

I like Minifigs very much.

Pity they don't seem to fit with others.
