So I've been working on my Bolt Action Americans. I've done the jackets in German Camo Beige and the paints in US Field Drab. But the webbing is giving me some challenge. I know that it originally came in OD #3 and could often fade to a near-khaki color. The problem is that while Vallejo Khaki does look pretty accurate, it is almost entirely lost against the German Camo Beige. So I think it would look better if I did it in a color closer to green. Any thoughts? I'm also really surprised at the lack of green so far in the uniforms. Was there no green in the M1941? |

I did mine in a grey-green color thatcontrasted with my Khaki jackets – mind you it was 15mm – sometime artistic licence is needed to make it work at scale |

I like Vallejo Model Color Green Grey 886 for US webbing. |

No, there was no green in the M1941, except for the helmet. For the webbing I use khaki, yellow ochre, green ochre (Vallejo colors) or something similar to get a little contrast between the webbing and the jacket. |

I use a craft store paint called "Pebblebrook" for the webbing, over Jackets painted "Spanish Olive" |

I think what I'll do is finish basecoating, put on my wash, then maybe redo the webbing so it stands out a bit more. Thanks guys. :) |

Grey green with a brown wash works for my WW2 US. |
