Yes I am not sure if the rule authors considered players that can roll 2 or 3 sixes with 5 dice every turn turn after turn, we have some at our club, I on the other hand can roll 50 dice and not see a single 6!
Better luck next time

Our first game saw our German player roll pairs of 6's four times in a row and then on the American players phase (finally) he rolled a pair of 6's twice. It was pretty funny.

Javier,

You said you want to change the command dice so that when you get a 1 you can deploy a team that is part of a squad. I don't have my rules with me, but I thought you could do that? If not, I played it wrong in my first game.

I thought you could use a 1 to deploy a rifle team, and in the next phase use another 1 to bring on the Bren team, with the Junior Leader coming on with either one of them (he does not get to use his Command Initiative). I'll have to look when I get home. Of course if you had two 1s you could combine them to bring on the squad.

In my first game the Germans never rolled more than one 6, and the Brits rolled two 6s twice, though 3+ 6s were never rolled and so the whole game was only one turn (but more than a dozen phases).

Jack, I'm afraid you did it wrong. With 1s you cannot deploy teams being part of a squad. You can read on page 16, second paragraph.

Hope your third game doesn't see so many sixes.

Javier,

"This will not be a Team that is part of a Section or Squad, unless it is a one or two man Scout Team advancing onto the table ahead of its parent Section; where men have been detached from their Section to crew a vehicle; or when a
Team conducts an Ambush."

Holy @#$!, you're right! I've been cheating myself!!! I was thrown by this (which stuck in my head, despite the very clear instructions above):

"If one of the Section's Teams has already deployed onto the table as part of an Ambush then the balance of the Section will arrive with its Junior Leader."

The part about 'if one of section's teams deployed' stuck in my head, but I conveniently left out the Ambush part… For what it's worth, I like my way better. Or is it your way? No, I think I did it first. It can be our way ;)

My German side really doesn't like my British side now. Or maybe it's the other way around. Dammit, this is very embarrassing! Thanks for straightening me out, and good luck. (I just posted another batrep in which I did it again as I rushed home and played a game without looking it up).

V/R,
Jack
