Had a play with some MTU (My Traveller Universe) sector data on the great Traveller Map website.

Have a look at the results.

Does your TU have a theme or a particular source of inspiration?

It is set in the OTU but several sectors rimward of the Solomani Confederation. An area never fought over or disputed with the Imperium. Lower tech level than most of Traveller (TL 12 pretty much the highest).
As far as inspiration goes – the old FASA adventures for starters :)
