Foundry Arena is both a Games and social club for all like minded people within the Nottingham/Nottinghamshire/country area who play Wargames, RPG's, Board-games and Collectible Trading Card Games of any system and maker.

#Description

Welcome to Foundry Arena. One hopes this site will be of interest not just to existing gamers and potential recruits but also to anyone interested in gaming. While this site is centered around our Foundry Arena's activities we hope it will also be of interest to the wider gaming community in the Nottinghamshire area and beyond.

We are a genuinely friendly and welcoming club that brings together people interested in a wide range of games including, but not limited by a specific system or game type.

We have a reasonable amount of gaming activity here at Foundry now: most Saturdays we seem to have something going on be it God of Battles or board games or such. Some largish events are planned for later in the year.

However the aim is to have something more, like a regular Wargames club running. Foundry have loads of space and lots of tables and it would be great to see continual gaming activity through the weekends.

While the factory shop are enormously happy to have visitors, we are happy to play and see games run. However what would really be marvelous would be to see loads of gamers turning up with their armies and actually fighting battles and making use of the space and venue as a whole.

We've been trying for some time now to find a group, or groups, of gamers who would like to use us as a regular (or semi-regular or occasional) venue. So this is where Foundry Arena steps in finding a groups of people who are model soldier and gaming enthusiasts, and linking the gamers and groups with a venue point.

We really don't want it to be the Wargames Foundry club, this would we think be a bit claustrophobic if what is after all a commercial organisation figure heading and organising everything.. We really do want it to be a proper Wargames and any other sort of 'gaming you fancy' sort of club.

This is an open gaming venue that does not require you to only play one system or game, with the backing of a team of lawyers, but rather melding of minds and ideas, a melting pot of gamers to fight epic battles make new friends and create a community hotspot within the industry.

We could certainly run a number of clubs and/or events here separately but simultaneously: we have loads of space and tables and facilities and whatever: Even tea urns!
So, if any of you would like to come and use our venue, as a one-off, or the beginnings of a more permanent arrangement, just get in touch and come along. If two of you, or four of you, or eight, fancy fielding your armies on a nicely terrained table that is much bigger than you could fit in your house, then we have the ideal venue and the ideal table (and tea and coffee). Evening gaming can be arranged with no problem, it just needs to be organised in advance as our insurance requires us to have members of staff on the premises.
