I'd use the Perry Basi-Bazouks. But the Dixon
Napoleon in Egypt range had some. They Painted up nicely.

Here are some figures I use for Greek Light Infantry in British service. Is this what you are after

Give us a picture of what your Albanians are to look like.

The painted (very nicely indeed) Greeks are of alittle later era since they come from the Crimean War and not suitable at all.

I heard rumors that a new range is on the pipe with dedicated miniatures for the Greek War of Independence. As soon as I get more info I shall advise you.

Great (potential) news on the Greeks – Bob whose make are yours? Thanks

Bobs Greeks are from Foundrys Crimean range, they do not appear in their listings but can be still had from them

I have commissioned a generic sculpt of a Greek that I can pad out the Perry Miniatures Bashis with, which I intend to use as Greeks until a dedicated line for the GWI is out.

See the Greek/Albanian I have had made for padding out Perrys Bashis, the sculptor I used I believe did an excellent job. This is for my QWI project

Really nice as I said in another post. I wonder if they will be made commercially available?

Durando26 Mar 2014 3:52 p.m. PST

I am aware that he will be available subject to no mould probs by the end ofApril

How the hobby has changed since I started – "the wrong sort of 28mm Albanians in kilts….not suitable at all…" sounds very strange to a grognard
like me – whatever happened to converting figures if you couldn't find what you needed?

Those Albanians look like Bashis to me, in poor light, with my eyesight!

(Yes, I'm of the generation who used Airfix WW1 Germans suitably painted and Tarzan natives for his first Zulu War game about 40 years ago)

Eh, no harm in trying to get more representative figurines. Nor in making the hobby accessible to people who are not into modifications. There is space for all, is there not?

Not that this means that what your generation did was not super cool (there you go, using young-un slang) :D

Absolutely, and no offence intended, this is truly the golden age for gamers with such a wealth of highly detailed figures and other gaming material now available.

It just made me smile :)
