That scale well with the Star Wars miniatures. The miniatures that were about 30mm tall, the prepaints, I think it was some kind of miniature game. I have lots of the figs, just need a ship. Can anyone provide some comparision pics? Thank You.

Well, this would make the scale around 1/64. Modern and bulky 28mm are around 1/56 scale, give or take depending on the figure line. The West End Games are smaller than modern 28mm figures, I believe.

You may need to look at larger "scales" as the tendency is for these things to not be at scale. I think the action figure one was actually smaller than the 1/18 scale that the figures would be in as an example. 1/72nd would work most likely then.

In a Battle of Hoth game that I played in, they used one of the old AMC plastic models:

Not precisely to scale, but it works for a game.

I have yet to actually see a scale printed on ANY starwars kit.

I used the starwars micromachine one that my little brother had abandoned with my starwars miniatures. it was serviceable.

Would the Revell snap-tight kit work for SW minis? I cannot find an AMC version.

Thanks.

I believe DesrtScrb made a typo. That should be AMT models, as in AMT/Ertl. They had the plastic model license for the Star Wars franchise for a number of years. Their version of the Millenium Falcon is readily available through second hand markets. (ie. E-Bay etc )

leidang08 Sep 2013 1:13 p.m. PST

The AMC model is the only one I know of. It is just slightly small but it isn't very noticeable unless you have a figure right by the loading ramp.

Target has one that is for collectable Star Wars figs. the figs are all cartoony dwarf like but the ship opens up and works with the pre-paints , I tried them on my grandson's ;)

Correct, hedeby. I meant the AMT model kit.

redmist112208 Sep 2013 4:53 p.m. PST

Nice! I'll have to go over to Target and check it out, plus I'm watching a few on eBay as well.

Thanks.

I just placed an order for one on EBAY. It's the "98" version from ERTL/AMT. The cut-away model for some playability…

The Hasbro one for action figures actually works really well. It's a little bigger than the AMT model kit. It actually sits higher off the ground than the AMT model as well so is actually better for use with the WotC miniatures and is easier to play with. Here are some pictures of it with some figs. The problem is the Hasbro action figure Falcons are quite expensive these days. The AMT model works extremely well for the old West End Games figs though.

Here is the action figure Falcon with some WotC Clone Troopers and some force users. Also some WEG Storm Troopers and Rebel Troopers. It also has a WotC AT-AT, a WotC AT-ST, and the AMT AT-ST. The AMT AT-ST is on the right of the WotC AT-ST.

Here is the action figure one next to my partially assembled AMT Falcon.

Delthos,
Thanks for sharing the comparison pics, they help quite a bit! I already have the Hasbro Falcon, so I may have to put it on the table and give it a personal look. I first thought of using it, but thought it may be too big, looks good with the WoTC figures.

Thanks Delthos for those pics.
I've been wondering that myself for a bit now.

Amazingly enough there is one on eBay right now with only 6 hours left with no bids and $19.99 USD! It's not mine but I'd be jumping on it if I didn't already have one.

I have the Revell model from Germany. I think it works well for the WOTC Starwars minis. It is nicely painted and a snap to assemble. I don't have a picture of it, but here is the equally nice shuttle that you may also consider.

Again, another nice one, but a bit small for WotC figs, looks great with the old WEG true 25mm figs though.

religon02 Oct 2013 8:15 a.m. PST

I like both the action figure (Kenner/Hasbro) one and the "Revell model from Germany" that LostPict suggests. One looks a little large on the table and the other a little small. I would choose based on which footprint your table better accommodates.

Stepman303 Oct 2013 1:50 a.m. PST

I got the Revell "cut away" version. Size wise it looks pretty damn good…
