Latest on the ODGW site….

Balkans Navies Supplement
The latest free supplement for GQ3 covers Greece, Turkey, Romania, and Yugoslavia. As with the previous supplements, this includes an introductory article covering the fleets in question, full ship logs for all the major ships, data on all the minor small craft (those smaller than 500t), aircraft data, a full CRT for all the navies, and several introductory scenarios.

With this supplement, GQ3 now has the logs, CRTs and data (aircraft and small craft) for the following navies:
US, Britain (including the Commonwealth), France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Siam, China, Spain (Republican and Nationalist, and Portugal), Soviet Union, Denmark, Finland, Poland, Norway, Sweden, Greece, Turkey, Yugoslavia, and Romania.

Also available (for free), is the Merchant Ship System (covering several hundred merchant ships) and the Cherry Trees Supplement (covering the ‘what ifs' lost to the Washington naval treaty of 1922).

How does GQ3 play with craft under 500 tons. Could you use it to play coastal actions?

The combat with the sub 500t craft is somewhat simplified. You can use it, but its not really recommended since the game is optimized for actions between larger (DE/DD sized and above) ships.

That is what I figured but thought I would ask.

Thanks

Brilliant news. Very impressive file!

Is there going to be a WW2 update for the South American Navies? Might be interesting to have the Kreigsmarine operating with the Argentinians.

Probably not. The principal editor for the Supplements has moved on to other things.
