Yet more recapitations from INLGames. This time we compliment our old hi-tech bugmen with some decidedly lo-tech ones!

Those are cool. Very well defined bug chitin
bet that was fun to paint! I wonder how they size against GW Savage Orcs. I wouldn't mind picking up a few of those as leaders to a larger horde of bug men, but I don't think it would work well if they were noticeably smaller. Those guys are pretty tall since the head is on top of the orc body instead of in front of it. But for primitive monsters, it's really nice to have a towering figure. Plus, it makes it easier to paint the clothes/bones/etc, without the head hanging down. |

I wonder how they size against GW Savage Orcs. Mine sold last night and are already packed up, so I can't take a measurement. Those are 1.25" metal washers they're standing on if that helps eyeball it. There are some scale comp photos over on the Aegis site here, including one with a GW Chaos Marauder/thug: link I like their modularity myself – you get an extra arm with each model and there are two different bodies, so there's tremendous variety available, especially if you buy several at once so you've got duplicate weapons to choose from. |

Thanks. I saw the comparison shots, but didn't notice anything that I could relate to (I thought they were all against other Aegis figures at a glance). That size doesn't encourage me (Marauders are shorter than Savage Orcs, and these guys are a head taller than regular Savage Orcs)
but the extra arm has possibilities. If I bought a dozen, I could make two six-legged or three four-legged "pets" for them that would be consistent with their style. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

those insectoids are great. i've got a whole bunch of cheap toy bugs that i'm planning to convert into alien species using a load of em4 plastic ganger and trooper arms, legs etc, plus other stuff from the bits box. maybe i'll get round to posting the results on this page if I get the time! |
