Well it's the morning after Battlefield of Dice and I'm tired. I am pleased to report that this event raised $605.66 USD which will be donated to Wounded Warrior Project. We had relatively light attendance but for a first time show we expected that. What I did not expect was the amount of fun that everyone seemed to have and the calibre of games that were put on. While all games deserve accolades there are several that should be pointed out for special praise:
Soldiers Courage which was a 15mm ACW game that while compact really had a nice presence and played really well according to those who played it.
Dropzone Commander which was run by Pictors Studio. It was a very good game both visually and play wise.
All Things Zombie which seemed to have the most laughing players of any table
And
The Doctor Who game which was very well done and again produced a very good time.
There were more games that deserve my praise but those are the ones that come to mind first. We owe a lot of thanks to people and organizations who help us out. Apart for all the people who ran games who deserve a big Thank You, I want to thank the following folks for their support with time, prizes and donations:
• Wings Wheels & Waves
• Alliance Games Distributors
• Mr. & Mrs. Mike Johnston
• American Legion Post 221
• Hawgleg Publications
• Battlefront Miniatures
• MAPS Air Museum
• Mr. & Mrs. Tim Strubel
• Pictors Studio
I again want to give my thanks to the game master and my members of the Massillon Area Wargamers who really made this possible. We will be returning next year!
I will hope to post some pictures here once I can figure out how to do it and when I can sit down at my computer for more than ten minutes at a time but now I am off to Michigan to spend a day with my wife, son and grandkids and rest a little bit.
