For the streets the options are to go for 3D or print.

3D can be expensive depending on the area you need to cover and the exact type you use, e.g.

Print you just find a suitable file, print it on A3 or A4 sized paper, then glue the paper to some sort of surface.

This is what I did:

I treat them as any other model. A spray paint undercoat of Halfords grey primer to start and then your favourite choice of acrylics. I do find MDF will soak up paint, so a couple of light applications will be needed.

As for basing, you can either use a base the same size as the building which just provides a bit more rigidity to the building or go for the scenic larger one. Again, I suggest MDF as it is cheap and easy to cut.

As for cobbles, textured plastic card is always an option, most decent model of train shops will stock it or you can make your own by using thin foam and a pen or similar to scribe the cobbles.

what can i use for cobbled streets

If you have Wilkinsons in NI then they do some vinyl floor tiles that make good cobbled streets.
