Her Mona Lisa smile on the book cover has been turned into a scowl. An improvement in my opinion. Flashie still has the s--- eating grin.

Painted images of all of the Flashman figures from Chilton Miniatures can be found at the link below.

I painted them a few years ago for a friend.

I don't care for the "Elspeth" figure.

She looks annoyed …

axabrax22 Aug 2013 8:19 a.m. PST

Chilton? You mean Chiltern?

andymac22 Aug 2013 9:11 a.m. PST

Sorry for the typo, yes that should be Chiltern.

No possible way that's Elspeth, on the book cover or in miniature.

Flashmaniacs, back me up on this.

John the OFM22 Aug 2013 9:59 a.m. PST

Of course. Elspeth is blonde and …dim.
That broad on the cover could be Judy or Mrs. Leo Lade though.

Actually "SHE" looks more like a man in drag at least in the face

platypus01au22 Aug 2013 6:24 p.m. PST

I don't think that Elsbeth is dim at all. She just pretends to be dim. But because we always see things from Flashman's perspective, we never see it.

She is not only dim, but clueless. Read her diary in Flashman's Lady.

deflatermouse27 Aug 2013 3:35 a.m. PST

Fairly clueless.
