I recently came across some 1/100th Roskopf Miniatur Modelle vehicles in a Normandy militaria shop. I'd never heard of them before, but they're lovely models and mostly a near-perfect match to my QRF Cold War stuff. I picked up a Kanonenjagdpanzer 4-5 and a Schuetzenpanzer-Kurz 81mm Moerstertraeger and as you can see, they're lovely little models.

Having done some googling, I see that they did a nice little range, with lots of really useful West German kit, including lots of trucks and all the KraKa variants (essential for Cold War West German Paras). They also did some other nations' kit, plus some WW2 models.

Does anyone know if this range might ever be re-released or if anyone specialises in dealing in these long out-of-production kits? Or does anyone here have any they'd like to sell? I'm particularly interested in more Kanonenjagdpanzer 4-5s, as well as KraKas and trucks.

Mark,

Roskopf was taken over by Wiking around 25 years ago. None of the RMM range have been re-released (some other ranges have been).

Spanish company Eko did atrocious/inaccurate copies, but they fit in at a pinch (I have a btr-50 based MRB – mostly Eko).

Reasonable RMM resale market (ebay) with generally reasonable prices.

i had a whole load of them back in the early 80's was hoping to increase my roco collection but they were far too small to go with them.
they did have some very nice models like the man 6x6 bridge trucks.
i think i still have the bridge somewhere.
not seen any for years but i still have 2 catalogues.
ideal for 15mm gamers

Cheers chaps. I'd sell my own grandmother for the KraKa variants (I'd have to dig her up first though).

If anyone doesn't know what I'm talking about, I'm referring to these:

Try Fidelis Models. Randy carries all the Roco and other HO vehicles and sometimes has used Roskopf in stock. Let him know what you want and he may be able to direct you.

There are plenty, as in huge loads, of Roskopf models on eBay Germany. They are usually relatively cheap too but the difficult part is to find a seller with reasonable P&P (or even one willing to ship outside of Germany).

Just to make you jealous, I picked up a stash of Roskopf models from a local model shop for about £2.00 GBP each. Part of the joys of living in Switzerland. <G>
