Stop on by and view my ACW collection. I am preparing for a convention game in September and have to sort out all my toy soldiers so in the process will be reminiscing.

Excellent! Thanks for sharing.

Some of those figures remind me of the old GIANT figures from the '70s that came as a play set. Nice work.

Great stuff. I've got a number of individually mounted 54s that I am thinking about mounting on 3x3s or 80mm x 80mm stands. Keep us updated.

I had some of those as a kid back in the '50s. Nice !

Fun site! I too love them 54s. Any tips on painting plastics?

Walmart black spray paint for primer, followed by a dusting of Walmart white. Then just go with your acrylics of choice. I dip my figures in white glue diluted for a fixative.

Hi Lions Den,

I like the look of your 54mm ACW collection. I couldn't help but notice that you have some old Britains cavalry.

Pardon me for being a little crass, but would you be interested in getting some more ACW Britains figures at an inexpensive price? My brother and I owned some of the multi-pose figures from the 60s, which consist of an assortment of infantry, cavalry and one Union artillery piece with crew.

My brother and I were little kids when we owned these, so these figures have some wear on them, like chipped paint. A few infantrymen are missing their firearms.

I also have some of the single-piece ACW figures that were available during the early 80s. I have only have Confederate and Union infantry. These are in better condition.

These figures are currently stored in a box in a closet, and I haven't looked at them in years. I knew there are some folks out there that collect them, but I haven't given thought about selling them until now.

If you're interested, send me a PM via TMP, or send a message to jefffarm at earthlink dot net. (Please note the three fs!) I'll be happy to give you more details. (It looks like I can't send you a PM.)

Again, if I seem a little opportunistic in mentioning this publicly, please pardon me.

Jeff
