The Pacificon convention is coming up fast, were I'll be running three large Napoleonic Wooden Wars battles. One of the game scenarios will be "Capture the Bridge" . Found throughout many historic battles such as Essling, Vienna, Arcole, and, well- lots of others- It's a classic trope , and I figured perfect for a Wooden Wars game. Or is it? To prove it's worth (and to be worthy of the campaign system in the upcoming rules release) we had a few progressive field tests here at Fossling Proving grounds to see if a "Capture the Bridge" scenario would work within the rules and game mechanics, and more importantly, was is fun?
I'm happy to report that a bridge can be captured and held, and that the carnage to take said bridge, especially one that has been zeroed in by artillery, is bloody splintery! If you are around at Pacificon, please stop by and say hi, toss a few balls and try to earn a medal! For more pics and wordy stuff, march to the sound of the guns here skullncrown.com

Marcus, If you notice in the second picture, the officer was hit but kept standing. Those commissions just pay for themselves! Mounted officers are harder to knock over, get a "dodge ball" saving throw if they are, And allow the unit to move a little farther each turn (because a horses base it longer). All that being true, that was pretty much my only shameless marketing ploy :) Thanks all for your comments. cheers!
