"Armor Of The 1965 Indo/Pak War.....What Colors?" Topic

As the title indicates, I'm looking for colors, or source material for colors, used on armored vehicles during the Indo/Pakistani War of 1965. I need the colors used by both the Indian and the Pakistani armies.

Also, any recommendations for specific paints would be most helpful.

I've found lots of material listing the different types of armored vehicles used but nothing on color schemes.

Can somebody help a gamer out?

I know this isn't exactly what you asked but in '71, Ppk armor was usually in a gray over dark green pattern. They painted white bands around the turret as well. Indian armor was usually dark green with mud smear patterns in '71. I will look for '65 info when I get a chance.

From what I've read the Pakistanis used M-47 & M-48 Pattons, some upgunned Sherman's (E4's with retro-fitted US 76mm guns), a few M-24 Chaffee's and several M-36 Jackson Tank Destroyers. The Pattons seem to have been the mainstay of their armored forces.
