I picked up several of these boxes (#6502) for both my North Africa 1942 and Crusades projects.  There is a lot of flash and connecting plastic within the fronds to remove (in pic left, unassembled palm tree) but it can be done quickly.

I was concerned about how soft and 'slippery' the plastic was but Rustoleum Plastic Primer solved that and provided a great surface to paint on.

Trunks were airbrushed with Vallejo tans and browns with an Iwata SBS and fronds with various Vallejo greens. Wash was Vallejo dark brown.

Gel CA was used for assembly.

Regards,

J. P. Kelly

The Pegasus palms are great but very expensive for what you get. I found a great source on eBay which I'll post tonight when I get home
