The postal rates have been restructured so that with lower weight packages the cost of standard versus priority are the same or within a few cents of each other. As an ebay seller I always quote the standard price but if priority is the same I upgrade it for the buyer.

Media and first rate postage are much the same way. Media is often inspected to prove the item qualifies. First class has no stipulations.

I don't know the why but my suspicious side says they want us to get used to these higher rate services so we just ask for them for everything.

We only have 2 shipping options. $6 USD in the US and $12 USD international.

Not to sound like a complaint, just pointing out that there were two options for postage at checkout, both priced at $6 USD, when IRL the USPS charges Priority at $2 USD+ more than 1st class. Contrary to Skyking's experience, I've never had the USPS charge me a few cents extra for priority on small packages. This only ever happens with larger packages.

As such, from a customer standpoint this is confusing as to what I'm paying for – is it always Priority or is it sent however is cheapest? If the latter, is the extra cost kept as handling or could it be refunded?

Sorry, we ship priority in the US and first class international.
That also means if you order 7lbs in the US it is still a flat $6 USD

USPS Priority mail packages – flat rate are $6.50 USD .

If I am remembering correctly Rebel Minis packages have arrived in the small flat rate boxes.

Perhaps both shipping options are the same priority flat rate box, but just listed differently?

Sorry for bothering You, but is there any possibilty that new versions of Vipers will be put in the offer in next two months?

You know, my finger was just hovering over the "buy" button last night. And now, this. Wow. But of course instead of just pocketing my 20% savings, I wind up buying far more than I originally intended. LOL! I guess that's how these promotions are supposed to work.
