You are possibly my favourite miniature blog at the moment, closely tied with je lay emprins. I'm currently attempting to paint like you, but finding the actual clothing quite difficult to get right. I personally voted for John blanke due to how interesting it was. Keep up the good work. |

Thanks SF, Simon's blog originally inspired me to get my brushes out and have a go myself so it's good to see things come full circle via the power of the blog. Re painting, have a look at my othe blog; link it's a guide for painting landsknechts (so a lot of clothing!) but the methods i discuss there i apply to all of my painting. All the best Stuart |

Very nice – thanks for the tutorial on your blog also. This is the muted effect which I also go for. I have been using devlan mud for the wash but recently switched to the Coat d' Arms Super wash – Dk Brown, but having seen your work, will now experiment adding water and dark brown. By the way, may I ask the palette that you used for your horses please? Thanks Joe |

Wonderful job Stuart – makes me think about finishing off my French Italian Wars army. Last used this in the late 1980s! So finishing an army is not that easy
Much as I liked them all I did appreciate the work on the Billmen. Garry |
