"This little guy was made to give German infantry a bit more punch not unlike the idea of the panzerfaust. This is a great addition to any German force and can really swing the tide of battle if deployed effectively. Nothing says I hate you more then a ball of flame and with this thing you can give them out like party favors. Be sure to pick up the excellent Battleground WWII rulebook to get the most outta these rules.
Date Introduced: Early '44
Users: Germany
Crew: The Einstossflammenwerfer 46 has a crew of one.
Firing: The Einstossflammenwerfer 46 takes a single action to fire and does not need to be activated like other flamethrowers. Once fired, use all infantry-based flamethrower rules with the exception of the Detonation rules.
Single-Shot: The Einstossflammenwerfer 46 is a single-shot disposable weapon and will be inert after it has fired.
Other Uses: The Einstossflammenwerfer 46 was often used as a booby trap and even as a ad hoc defensive measure for vehicles. Commanders may use this weapon is just about any way they want just as long as they write some rules of if before hand.
Captured Use: The Einstossflammenwerfer 46 was so simple to use that even civilians with very little training could fire one. Due to its ease of use, the Captured Use penalty is reduced to +1 instead of the normal +3."

Battleground WW2 is good rule set, and this weapon is also included in the NUTS War Without End rules from Two Hour Wargames.

Dang, between those and that small mortar/bouncing betty (can't remember what it's called), that would make approaching a tank downright unhealthy!

A virtually identical weapon was used post-war by the re-formed Wehrmacht, made from cardboard and filled with a red phosphorous composition.

You mean the famous handflammpatrone. I used it many times in my time in the service. The closes you can get to a flamethrower without getting in trouble with the convention of genf.
