Well, here are some pics (bad ones…) of my first wave of the Luftwaffe and some New Zealand reinforcements… In 1/300…

Granted, those are not the 'correct' nose/tip/tail colors, but I decided to go that route to distinguish between planes for 'ease of play'…

Beautiful work! What are you going to be playing with them-- CY6?

richarDISNEY08 Aug 2013 10:53 a.m. PST

Well, Jerry, I made the flight stands with CY6 in mind (last pic), but they will work with Bag the Hun 2 also.

BUT… Most likely CY6.

Bad pictures or no, those are some lovely planes!

Jesus! Someone has been busy! I'd love to see a few close-ups, especially one of that Me 110 with like 8 colorful fuselage bands ;)

Nice work, but where did you get that colour scheme for the Wellingtons? The RNZAF never flew them in the Pacific, Wellingtons were flown by 75 Sqn RAF(NZ) in standard RAF night bomber colours.

And this is about a quarter of what I have done in the last 7 weeks.

Rolando, as for that 8 color Me-110… When I was about 8 I made a 1/72 Me-110 model and did that same color pattern on it. When my old man saw it, he was like: "What's wrong with you kid? Those were never like that!" And since I will be mostly playing with him, I wanted to do a 'homage piece'.
We will get a ton of laughs outta it.

Glad you guys like them.

Any recommendations on how to improve?

Well, on improvement, I'd say maybe to paint more historically-correct splinter patterns on those Jerries. And the upper wing crosses should be the ones with the more thin white lines, like these that Dom sells:

…or just the white or black cross outlines for most late war Germans.

I can tell the colors are done to make each plane unique for players to recognize theirs. I like that myself :)
