Fellow TMPer andyfb came over on Saturday and we had a game of my draft Ancient Battlelines Clash rules for fast play on a 2'x2' table. Macedonians Vs Later Achaemenid Persians. I have played about 25 game solo and a few others around the world have played it and given valuable feedback, this is the first time I have played the rules with someone else . It stood up fine, there are some tables that could be formatted better and a probable rule change on pursuit. So, from my side, I am happy with how it is going and it is onwards and upwards and more playtesting! I wrote up the game and some thoughts on my blog: link And here is a shot just after I had lost my general and a lot of my heavy cavalry:
