Well in my version of the Old West anyway. Pop over and have a look.

Looks like great fun. Just creating the characters to go with each figure sounds like you are having a wonderful time!

Perhaps it is time to give more thought and effort to my own western town, No Water Creek, Wyoming.

They certainly get develop a life of their own over time. My mate Richard always plays The Masked Bandido and he is a feared rifle shot – always managing to pull off the length of the table pot shot to kill my character with a head shot. I am tempted to have my guy shoot himself on Turn One to save some dice rolling time later. The French Colonel above is regularly played by another guy and in our campaign he is now an Evil Legend of the Old West – a devil with a sword and uses it frequently – especially on wounded opponents.

Closer to the truth than you might expect. In the mid to late 1800s, ethnic communities in larger cities at least often had their own militia units – sometimes dressing in traditional uniforms rather than US uniforms. IIRC, Cincinnati or one of those Ohio cities was well-known for its German militias dressing in Prussian uniform – as well as for the rivalry that occasionally bred violence between those militias.
