DON'T ORDER FROM NEW WAVE!!! New Wave sucks and has for years. They actually used the family emergency on me twice. I called them on it and threatened legal action and they refunded my money. That, however, does not work anymore from what I hear. Fantization, Brookhurst, Strange Cargo and hundreds of other companies offer the same products. The 10% reduction in price would NEVER be worth the irritation of dealing with the Doust family. Has anyone thought about contacting the post office regarding a mail fraud violation? The elements are not too tough to meet for investigation. I don't fit the plaintiff standard, but it is, as I understand, the following: 1. defendant must use the mail to 2. commit fraud The fraud is: 1. A mis-statement of a material fact, omission of a material fact, or failure to correct a misunderstanding about a material fact, 2. That causes a purchaser to rely (spend money) to their detriment (suffer damages). Therefore, the initiator should be able to start such a process. In the mean time, contact your credit card company. They will often refund your money by holding back money from another sale. Good luck all who have not read this and/or ordered from New Way to Screw You Games, I mean New Wave Games. |

After several months of dead-ends, and having false accusations leveled against me by New Wave (they attempted to accuse me of 'threatening' them by adding a post from another poster on TMP, as an 'attachment' to some things they faxed to the Ohio AG's office- thanks to the Editor's assistance, we were able to clear that up), things finally worked out. Well folks, on 04 Feb 2005, I recieved a full refund for $172.60 USD from New Wave Mail Order. For those of you who are still looking for a refund, or have yet to file a complaint, contact- The contact information has been removed, since "...our office has concluded it's investigation of the company and will no longer be able to accept further complaints based on the fact that we are in litigation and or taking civil penalty action against same." |

Kewl. It seems that Det. Vogt is doing an excellent job. These kind of things are quite often lost in the paper-shuffle and the victims get re-victimized by governmental inactivity. Kudoz to Det Vogt. Resp, John "delljohnb" Baugher ret PO2,(MS) Nashville, Tennessee Police Dept. |

The posts about NW are always entertaining, but I guess I never really paid very close attention. These guys are about 10 minutes down the Ga 400 from me! I'm going to take a spin by their location just to see if they are even still there. |

I was contacted by the investigator last Thursday and was asked to post this. The State of Georgia has concluded it's investigation against the company, and is in the litigation process and taking civil action. The office is no longer taking complaints at this time, until the current action is settled. It seems that quite a few of you have contacted the investigators office; they have more then enough information, and basically they need to continue, unimpeded. What does this mean? PLEASE DON'T call the investigators office anymore. Let them do their job =) |

Another TMPer brought up a good point on another thread. You folks don't know me from Adam, and I don't blame anyone for disregarding my last post. You have every right to seek justice and rightful compensation. I cannot stop any of you from contacting the investigator, nor prevent anyone from taking that contact information (which had been posted since early-mid February of this year- roughly six months) and copying it elsewhere on the Internet. |
