Dear All,
The 200th anniversary of the Battle of Leipzig, the climactic ‘Battle of the Nations', or ‘Volkerschlact', that saw the end of Napoleon's German influence, falls on the 16th – 19th October this year.
By kind permission of Matt, the Hall of Heroes Campbelltown NSW thehallofheroes.com.au/index.php will be hosting a commemorative Mega Game on Sunday 20th October. It is intended to run a scenario based on the Fighting of the 16th, to allow Austrian, Prussian and Russian forces to be pitted against the Saxons, Poles and French all on the same table. It is hoped the action will be grand and sweeping. This will probably be the last opportunity for a large Napoleonic game at the Hall this year…
Rules and Scale? Black Powder 28mm, Natch! All troops and terrain will be provided, there's even a shop copy of the rules to hand. All you need is stacks of enthusiasm, an Imperial tape measure, and a tolerance for strong coffee! (They're still getting the hang of the new brand of beans…)
