Do you find that you really need to prime these?

No, no priming is necessary. In fact the Zombie above, and a few of the others on my blog, were done with no priming at all.
For bright paint jobs, or ones where I don't plan to do a lot of drybrushing, I don't prime them.

Neither of the wizards in this thread were primered either:

What is a must, is washing in dish soap before painting.

I definitely need to visit Reaper's online catalog soon… I really like a lot of the new Bones figures. Those Golems, that Medusa… Really nice figures, and and excellent paint work. Thanks for sharing. Cheers!
