Has anyone "hands-on" experience of these products?

Altough they are two-dimensional and not of interest to me for depiction of three-dimensional features such as hills, buidings, trees, etc., I was wondering how the tiles for rivers and trails would look for use on the table, rather than my usual strips of brown felt.

In particular, is it possible to print them without the hex-grid?

They actually look pretty good printed out, but you can't remove the hex grid. Hopefully the producer will learn how to use layers in Adobe which can be switched on/off then people can choose whether to print with or without them.
