PS – the Old Glory flags range and Fighting 15s flags do nice Vistula Legion colours patterns as above.

Couple of other points- the flag illustrated above was actually known only to be carried by the 2nd Vistula Regiment and was taken over from an earlier unit. It is not to my knowledge confirmed that the other Vistula regiments carried similar (or indeed any) standards- though mine do!

Also, there is an alternative and simpler design- which I have only seen illustrated once and don't have any real provenance for. It is a simple modern style tricolour with no adornment or edging but with a similar strutting cockerel taking up the middle third of the central white bar with the capitalised words 'Legion' and 'Polonaise' also in the white bar above and below the cockerel. If you want variation, it's an easy one to freehand.

Further to seneffe's post above here is link to the tricolour illustration:

Your Highness- the one I'm think of is similar but has no embroidery and has the cockeral emblem in the centre. It is illustrated in fig 281 of Military Flags of the World (Blandford 1977), but has no primary reference supporting it.

I am a bit doubtful about the colour and particularly the eagle in the link- there is no record that I am aware of an Eagle having been issued to the Vistula Legion.
The memoirs of Vistula officer Heinrich von Brandt give a strong (if negative) confirmation of this. He served with the unit from its formation and aside from its actions, he also records much detail of life in the corps- with detailed accounts of reviews by Napoleon and other generals. If the Emperor had ever presented it with an eagle- it's inconceivable that such a significant event would have been omitted.
