Yet again, another great link.

I had a load of vac form as a kid, but none of these. Mine were obviously not Bellona grin

MajorB23 Jul 2013 5:55 a.m. PST

Ah, Bellona, those were the days!

Sadly they haven't been available these 20 years or more …

Use them as molds and cast them in plaster. Much stronger and don't move around on the wargame table. If you are careful you can get a couple out of each one. Use Pam cooking non-stick spray. Don't use the butter flavor, ecky.

What is the scale? 15mm?

number424 Jul 2013 9:10 a.m. PST

1/72 scale vacu-formed Bellona Battlefields! "The Redan" in the last pic was the pride of my collection back in those daze :)

Maybe I lack the nostalgia required to appreciate these, but I think they look horrible. Bad detail and shameful painting.

Gasmasked Mook28 Jul 2013 1:48 p.m. PST

I agree that the detail is fairly soft (you get what you paid for with vacuum form) but the painting is hardly "shameful". I would certainly be happy to have my little metal men fight and die over that stretch of mud and rusted wire.
