Hi!

After a very long hiatus were real life sucked all my time (as is its way), I have finally rekindled my passion for epic space marine.

For those in our little circle in Taccomms remember the pictures of what I affectionately call the "primarchload" of epic minis.

I never really did an inventory to see how much it was and wanted to share the process of unpacking and documenting it.

While lots need to be re-painted (most I did over 20 years ago), there are some very nice armies done more recently (like IG and parts of the SM forces) and I have a section of rare and superbly painted pieces towards the end of the thread.

If you like epic minis give the thread a visit and I hope you enjoy it.

Tin hat21 Jul 2013 11:11 a.m. PST

Can you actually re-fight something that technically hasn't taken place yet? Wouldn't that be a pre-fight?

In the future there is only painting….

Impressive. Most impressive! thumbs up

Peter, are your variant rules still posted anywhere?

Thanks,

John

Primarch21 Jul 2013 1:13 p.m. PST

Hi!

John Leahy, if you are refering to the Net Epic rules, which the full illustrated/ color rule books have been released they are here:

netepic.org/netepic.html

If you are referring to my own rules "heresy", they are here:

Angel Barracks: the stuff in what I call the "primarch vault" is very nice things I have acquired from people with amazing skills. Worth the look. :)

Lion in the Stars: LOL! My goal is to fight the siege of Terra using a 1:1 ratio in epic figs… ;)

An indeed I AM back! :)

Space Monkey21 Jul 2013 2:18 p.m. PST

Wow! I can't believe I looked through that whole thing. Amazing obsession, and so much of it painted and ready to go.

Primarch21 Jul 2013 2:23 p.m. PST

Hi!

Space Wizard:

I didn't show it (since pics of bare metal are boring), but if I showed you a fraction of what remains to be done on armies like the Eldar (just one army), I could cover that table I use for showing the minis.

Food for thought…. ;)

Primarch, seeing all of your stuff laid out makes me want to abandon my 15mm scifi project and go back to gathering up epic mins. GREAT collection.

Peter, any idea how to download that Heresy pdf? I didn't see any way to do so.

Thanks,

John

jpattern221 Jul 2013 8:31 p.m. PST

Now THAT'S a collection. Well done, sir!

Primarch21 Jul 2013 8:36 p.m. PST

Hi!

John, oddly enough, I don't seem to have a copy. I had a hard drive failure some years ago and lost it then. Let me get in touch with the person whom runs the epicentre to track down a copy and make it available.

Give me a day or two. :)

BunJen21 Jul 2013 10:10 p.m. PST

Primarch,

I hate you! No seriously….I was consolidating my epic collection to sell and now I have doubts!

But if I do decide to keep the epic faith it will only be my IG…..

But that is some collection!

Thanks

Primarch has been collecting for many, many, many years … That's another reason he's a "Primarch" ! wink

Artraccoon22 Jul 2013 8:01 a.m. PST

Hell, GW should have kept supporting and selling Epic…your purchasing half the production run should have convinced them to do so! :)

Primarch22 Jul 2013 2:21 p.m. PST

Hi!

John, someone from Taccoms forums came through and I got the file.

Drop me an e-mail to pramos10@cox.net to get you a copy and I will ask Tom at the Epicentre to put it back in there.

BunJen, if you gonna sell, now is the time. You can make good money at this time. :)

Artraccoon, it was a running joke with some of my friends that the reason epic40k did not do well commercially was because of my dislike of the system and not buying stuff during that time… LOL!

Primarch, I am looking to get rid of some of my old Epic stuff, where do you suggest going to sell it?

John Leahy Sponsoring Member of TMP26 Jul 2013 9:13 a.m. PST

Why not start here?

Primarch26 Jul 2013 1:14 p.m. PST

Hi!

Thomas, you can go to Tactical Command here:

link

This is the hub of all things epic and probably has all the "epic nuts" like me whom are interested in buying stuff.

Register for free and there is a specific thread for trades and sales. There even is threads for references (good traders and bad).

Barring e-bay its the best place to unload epic stuff.

Wellspring26 Jul 2013 6:45 p.m. PST

Primarch, I just looked through your collection and am totally gobsmacked. It's absolutely fantastic.

I've been playing Dirtside 6mm for years, but only very, very recently got into Epic. So I'm one of those newbies who you were looking to inspire. Color me thoroughly, completely inspired. :)

My one regret is that I'm tuning IN just as GW has discontinued it. But I'm awestruck with your collection, and suddenly my ambition to collect a full Space Marine Chapter or craftworld force doesn't seem quite so insane.

Primarch27 Jul 2013 12:26 p.m. PST

Hi!

Wellspring, unknown to most, I am a big Dirtside II fan. I actually converted all epic minis back in the day to be used with DSII. I also used a variant that used dice instead of chits. It was pretty cool. :)

Join up in Tactical Command, its the epic junkies place, you can get a lot of tips for buying stuff since its sold there all the time, also a lot of 6mm manufacturers are regulars there and there is a wealth of suitable proxies available now. I actually use their stuff too as proxies for several armies!

Glad to have enthused you, go forth and play epic!!

Wellspring27 Jul 2013 3:58 p.m. PST

I'm signed up on Taccoms, though I still mostly lurk. Thanks for the advice-- it's a great site.

Thomas Nissvik29 Jul 2013 2:52 a.m. PST

Thanks Primarch, I'll sign up.

Rafael25 Sep 2013 1:41 a.m. PST

Hello, Primarch, I would like to buy one (please, only one) epic chaos terminator, could you sell it to me?, pleeease.
Thanks a lot,
Rafael.
p.s. I dont know how to send private messages, but I can tell you my mail.

Red Wyvern Games01 Oct 2013 1:06 p.m. PST

I just can't comprehend the sheer scale of awesome models..

Primarch18 Jan 2014 3:25 p.m. PST

Hi!

I have not been idle since I posted my thread on the "primarchload". Many commissions to paint, convert and upgrade my collection are underway and I just received this small addition (well, small by primarchload standards…) of tyranid mycetic spores you can see here:

link

If the painters schedule holds, my "final touches" for the Imperial Guard army will be done next month and I will share those pictures as soon as they arrive.

They've been added to the links. :)

SCAdian28 Jul 2016 7:25 p.m. PST

Main question I have is: where did you get the Zeppelin and how much?

Primarch05 Aug 2016 7:29 p.m. PST

Hi!

SCAdian, I bought that from a gent called Christian Salling. Known as Warmaster Nice on Taccoms. Quite a many years ago. I bought an entire group of custom figs, so I would have to assign an arbitrary value for each.

For that particular fig somewhere between 200-300 hundred US.
