During the summer I do a historical gaming class for kids from 8 to 15. This year, in celebration of the 150th anniversary of Gettysburg, we re-fought the first day of the battle. Over the course of the four day week we played the game twice so the gentlemen could play both sides. I had nine players and two assistants. The table was four by six which allowed for room on both flanks. Here is a link to a recap of the games.

Very nice you should get me a PM. I am just relocated to Long Beach and while I do not have much with me I do have some experience in doing hobby outreach and working with NFPs on doing events etc.

Hats off to you for what looks like a great event.

did you look at any maps for terrain ideas? you do know that cutler deployed his men BEFORE the iron brigade came up, right?
also, its hard to depict the morning cav vs heth engagement because IRL the cav did'nt really do much damage to heths command. the cav delayed and held heths men. the real fighting was done between archer/meredith, and davis vs cutler. at least on that part of the field…
kids had fun, right?
