Second force is done (except for their air and transport of course!)

This is a mix of Rebel Shalur, Risk Clone Wars battledroids, a gumball prize robot, a HeroClix drone, and some Star Wars minis droids.

My middle daughter came up with the color scheme and helped paint them up. Primed grey, then sprayed silver. Gunmetal on the guns, red on the face/helm area, some blue highlights on knobs and such, and then dipped. This didn't take long in terms of actual invested time, but was stretched out over a long period as she lost interest ;)

I have some cool stuff for them for air and transport – some Matchbox Dark Knight Bats that I'm adding struts and magnets to in order to carry battle pods containing the androids, but still in construction phase.

Here's the whole ground force:

The rifle platoon (Rebel Shalur):

The assault platoon (SW Risk pieces):

The command section:

The force commander (added a drone and a backpack):

The assault subcommander (one of those gumball prize toys):

Flamethrower mod to an assault cannon:

Heavy assault android (SW mini):

Medic (or at least, small-systems engineer!) – just repositioned arms and added a bag:

Missile team:

Sniper (extended barrel):

A fun force to paint, even easier than the Manth were. Now if my nephews and oldest daughter will just finish their darn stuff!

Nice army. But do they dream of electric sheep?

These are awesome! I love the flamethrower and the gumball robots!

I noticed the colored bases, are they for Tomorrow's War?

Hamilton19 Jul 2013 5:22 p.m. PST

Mr. H, I use them for Gruntz, but I like to color code my bases to help my tired old eyes figure out what's going on across the table.

Here is my color scheme:

Very cool!

Yeah I like the flamethrower mod. Where did you get the flame?

Gunner Dunbar20 Jul 2013 12:02 a.m. PST

Very nice and creative.

Armiesarmy20 Jul 2013 1:44 a.m. PST

Very impressive indeed!

They look great…..and I am stealing your base colour idea too.

@Hamilton

Awesome… that makes a lot of sense… makes it easy to find who youre looking for!

Have you finished up any Gruntz unit cards yet?

Hamilton20 Jul 2013 6:55 p.m. PST

@Wargamedownloads – the flame is from a Horrorclix Firebreather mini.

@MrH – I have not, that's my to-do for the weekend. I'll post for comments on the Gruntz board.
