Hello,

I'm looking for a copy of the rules to the old PBM game World Conquest (and Modern World Conquest). This was a game that I loved to play back in the early 90's and I still have copies of all my games that I played, going back to #79 which I played while I was in Basic Training.

Somehow the game died, and I never got any official word why, but I heard over time that Bill Rapp lost the computers to water damage, along with the programs--no backups.

So I was thinking that if I could find a copy of the rules, then maybe I could attempt to reprogram the game for private battles. I remember that the rules had all the statistics for the troops in the game.

Hope someone can help,

Brian

Wow, does that bring back memories. The original programmer was in our game group. I think I was in 4 or 5 of the first games. Still have a copy of the final "end game" map and printout somewhere.

I lost track of everyone once it got sold and around the same time the group disolved.

Hello Brian… Funny what a random web search turns up! I am not sure we ever met, but my name is Robert Vivrette and I am the original developer of World Conquest. I do have the manuals if you are interested. I actually also have the source code as well (at least at the point when I sold it to Bill Rapp). Not sure I can share the source code with you, but can certainly share other info. My email is robertviv@gmail.com in case you want to contact me directly!
