Here's the news release for our new 15mm Irish line from the 16th century -- in case anyone missed it as it's off the front page:

We are very pleased to release our latest 15mm historical range, the Renaissance Irish from the 16th century.

This period culminated in the cataclysmic Tyrone's Rebellion, which was a disaster first for the English and then for the Irish. Only by great national effort was Elizabeth able to put down this rebellion, but once she did (the war actually ending under James's rule), all of Ireland fell under English rule for over 300 years.

Although these armies always contained traditional, essentially medieval elements such as light cavalry, lightly-armed native Irish infantry and heavily armoured Galloglaich axemen, later in the century these forces also contained pikemen and arquebusiers, many of whom had experience fighting in the Spanish armies on the continent.

The line is complete and contains the following:

Native Irish Warriors:

Native Irish Pikemen:

Native Irish Arquebusiers:

Native Irish or "Redshanks" Archers:

Irish Foot Command (Chieftain, Piper, Standardbearer and Galloglaich Leader):

Galloglaich in Chainmail:

Galloglaich in Aketon:

Redshanks or New Scots Mercenaries with Claymore:

Native Irish Armoured Horse:

Native Irish Unarmoured Horse:

Irish Mounted Command (king, standardbearer, and priest):

The shields on the armoured cavalry and the native Irish foot warriors are separate -- some of the shields have javelins cast on them. Pikes, cavalry spears and standard poles are separate and provided.

Sculpted and painted by "clibinarium." Available now, at the link below:

Hopefully at some point I can scrape some money together for a few of those shot to bring my Irish out of the Medieval era into the early Ren.Those are proper hackbutts,as well!Actually, now that I look at the horse, those are usable as Border Reivers.

They've been well worth waiting for by the looks of them!

Yeah I'd say so. Waiting for mine to arrive.

I might do a review of what's available in total but these look good. Very good.

How do these compare to some of your other ranges size wise? 30 years war, ECW Irish, Ren Spaniards? I currently have some of your TYW and some TYW Spanish from Old Glory 15mm. The infantry match pretty well but your horse makes OG's look like teenagers on ponies! I could see using some of this range for TYW irish mercs if they are on the 18mm side of things.
