Thanks Allen57, I bought the explosions from a manufacturer whom I forget now. They are resin and I think they are supposed to be 28mm scale, but seem to work better for 15mm. *edit* I think they came from Frontline Wargaming, but I don't seem to be able to locate them on the website: frontlinewargaming.co.uk *second edit* I've found them in their 20mm WW2 range: 20MS15 SHELL BUST MARKERS (bag of 5)
