As part of my 1813 project, I have expanded my Prussian artillery up to ten batteries, including:
12 pounders – One battery each Calpe crew with Calpe guns, Old Glory crew with Sash and Saber guns
OG Dragoonss painted as mounted Horse Artillery (OG guns)
Guard 6# Foot battery (OG crew with Sash and Saber guns). What, you can't see the yellow "litzen" on the collars and cuffs? I've painted the tools the same light blue as the carriages to make the Guard units stand out a bit better on the tabletop.
Artillery Commander (Old Glory) Many more pictures plus the usual background and information on my blog at: link Historicon in less than three weeks! Peter |

Hi there Were the tyres on gun wheels painted?, I've no idea, I paint mine (of various nations) as bare iron and mud. Any gun experts know? Those Prussian 12Pdr really look like they are about to mess up somebody's day. regards David F Brown DB |

Doubtless any paint would have worn off very, very quickly on campaign, so your way is certainly more realistic regardless! |
