After completing USS Texas last week I decided it was time to complete the IJN Hiryu.

As I feared the deck work was a bit more than my talents were up to, but still turned out OK for a gaming model.

Very nice, and one I've been considering picking up myself, so great to see the actual printed model, thanks.

PS – Aksakal – Axis & Allies War At Sea. The scale also fits with the new Mongoose range.

Thanks! Not up to par with the results I had with USS Texas, but that is on me not the model.

Yes, this one is for WaS, but I also use my 1/1800 scale fleets for all my WWII tabletop gaming. In addition many of the shapeways designers offer them in multiple scales.

Ok Im 3 YEARs too late.
Perhaps thats why none of the photos show or even open on the blog. Bummer really hoped to see them.

Actually that just happened in the last month. Had to clean up my photo bucket account and accidentally broke many links. In the coming weeks I will go back and clean up all my blog posts so they work.

Meanwhile, that is the most adorable kitten in the stock "photo not found" image…
