"The topless towers of Illium". Very impressive. The Trojan War myth cycle is one of my favorite parts of Greek mythology. |

You mention in your blog post that it was used in a commercial. Do you have a link? |

Tom I think I told you before but I HATE you. I told Phil when he was thinking about selling it I was interested but got back to him too late. When I called he had just sold it. He did two of them the second was a little bigger on the main palace. I have not seen the video in years but it was on U-Tube for some time. VR James Mattes |

Wow. Very impressive and a fantastic gaming setting. But some credit must go to you as well. The ships really make it alive. Ilium without Greek ships would be odd. |

Troy is awesome, but I can't help by being drawn to admiring the backdrop. Is that a Death Star cross-section, alongside a full-size Boba Fett? |
vojvoda | 27 Jun 2013 8:37 p.m. PST |
Oh man I just saw the Star Wars stuff in the background. I hate you even more! You should do a blog posting on your hobby area. I love your coffee table you did on the Alamo. I can't believe you made glued all those figures down. I am totally green with envy. VR James Mattes |

Thanks everyone, you made my day. As far as the Star Wars stuff, I will make a blog about that too. I basically had all the SW figures, and I kept seeing other people make really cool dioramas with them. So I decided to do the same. It took about 4 monthes to make all of them. I printed out alot of templates and paper copies from various sites and made my own scenes. I made them all about 8 years ago. They are still holding up. The only problem is that I am running out of shelf space. Soon I am putting in a large order to Grand Manner, probably another 25 buildings
so some of them will come down. Thanks for the interest! Tom tidesofwargaming.blogspot.com ps, I have not seen the commercial in years myself. I lost the link.

Oh, and yes that is a backdrop cross section of the death star, it has been changed since then. And I have a Boba Fett costume and a Stormtrooper costume. I used to be in a club called the 501st about 10 years ago. I was known as Dirty Tom
cause my armor was dirty, with Jagermeister stains all the time.. Tom tidesofwargaming.blogspot.com |

Also bought his city of Tyre, which I will show off someday too. I think I dropped $5,000 USD for both..plus shipping. But I am one happy person.
I am a castle collecting addict Tom tidesofwargaming.blogspot.com |
