i have had a look at the Carnage and Glory website and the one for the Aussie rules and wondered which was better (always a difficult question) and if there were others.

i mainly play solo and sometimes have my son (adult) who is easily bored!!!!

regards

I have not played the Aussie one so I can not compare but I can tell you Carnage and Glory is well research, supported by GMs at conventions and has a good following. I have seen it used for huge games as well. Highly recommended.

Second C&G. Really fun and flexible.

thanks for your comments. I find trawling through books like GdB, Black Powder etc tedious and frustrating. Hopefully the pc can take away that drudgery.

Hi

On a different note, I have played both and prefer the Computer STrategies one. It has naval as well as land so you can play battles like the Great Lakes in the AWI.

It also has a campaign system with maps, and you can include your own map.

To me these are the main differences.

Prefer to play the CS game.

I notice you play solo too. The CS game also has a solo module which will let the PC play against you.

Carnage and Glory is the premier computer moderated rules…and with any luck by Fall In there will be a campaign module available. If you're coming to Historicon there will be a roomful of CG games available in a variety of periods, including ECW, AWI, Napoleonics, ACW.

Thanks oldnorthstate Living in the UK coming to Fall In is one of those things on the wish list. I will look out for the reviews of the show and the CG reports.
