We've just released a set of British Police with Firearms in 15mm scale, to combat those pesky zombies, terrorists, or alien invaders:

Five are male in the PC flat cap, the other three being female in the PC bowler hat.

Needless to say they'd also be suitable for a variety of other modern scenarios.

Available now on our zed page:

under Police and other Local Law Enforcement of course.  grin

Might give them head swaps to give the males the helmet rather than the flat cap. We also have full-on tactical gear police coming as well, both with assault rifles and a snatch team with batons and shields. All cast up but caught in painter-queue hell at the moment.

Sounds like a good idea, e.g. having at least one of each sex in each type of hat.

All in all I think they look great!

I remember when the title of this post was an oxymoron…

Very nice.
Only small issue would be that UK police will almost never use a shotgun. Aimed shots at specific threats. So handguns then MP5 and G36 are the order of the day.
Still, very nice sculpts.

UK police will almost never use a shotgun…

I think… perchance…

My comment would be more that UK armed officers are rarely (if ever?) seen in white shirts or beat hats:

That's mainly because 'normal' officers are not armed, so they are a special response unit of trained officers.

Ah, teh Hot Fuzz photo disappeared…

These models are meant for some sort of disaster like a zompocalypse, as stated, or perhaps an invasion or revolution, under which circumstances I don't think speedcuffs alone will quite do it.

In any event as stated, troops in full tactical kit (including a snatch team) have been separately made, and we also have our special Zebra Kilo (zombie killer) set of special ops fellows in full armour.

In other news, next up for the zompocalypse: uniformed models, both survivors and zeds! A doctor and nurse, two security guards, and two soldiers,* then another set in their undead versions. Also boneys, erm, I mean The Buried, terrifying skeletal zeds representing long dead corpses who've dug themselves out of the earth….

*These will be characterful end of the world versions of soldiers. If you need soldiers in normal fighting gear, we have about 60 poses of those as well. grin

Nip over to the part of the UK where the police wear green uniforms and you get to see them guns with white shirts and patrol caps all the time. Not really a positive thing.
Though I suspect the man kneeling with the G36 is an airsofter with a toy. Otherwise he would have a serious black eye.

Mako1127 Jun 2013 5:41 p.m. PST

Is it just me, or does it look like the MP-5 weilding bobbies are in the perfect position to shoot each other in the foot, tactically?

Seems to me the left-handed guy should be on the outside, and on the other side (their right), the right-handed lady should be on the opposite side (their left), and the pistol packing guy should be in the middle.

khurasanminiatures27 Jun 2013 6:05 p.m. PST

You can actually arrange the models any way you want. grin

And of course, you can always paint them the way you want too!

You can easily paint the sleeves blue if you like beer

I suspect the man kneeling with the G36 is an airsofter with a toy.

To be fair, he is from a motion picture props company. :-)

However Google SO19/SA19/SCO19.

That said, this widely distributed photo is from Leicester Square, central London, 2005, just after the suicide bombings:

And here, which looks to be near the Embassies along by the Natural History Museum:

However the dedicated Specialist Firearms Unit (SCO19) usually wear baseball caps or PASGT-style helmets. We just don't really see them outside of central London.

Seems to me the left-handed guy should be on the outside, and on the other side (their right), the right-handed lady should be on the opposite side (their left), and the pistol packing guy should be in the middle…

They are probably not loaded. ;-)

Mine will look like this once painted.

I wish a couple didn't have their guns drawn and the shotguns are useless to me, but you can't have everything.

Kyn ell28 Jun 2013 7:39 a.m. PST

I really like them! To be honest, I've seen loads of variation with armed police up and down the country (UK) I suppose it just is a case of which police force is in the area with their different uniforms and what the situation is.
Well done Mr K, top marks!

Guthroth06 Jul 2013 11:58 a.m. PST

Lovely figures as always, but is there a UK distributor ?

20% tax plus a handling fee just kills the value.

Reminds me of the RUC in Ulster in the 90s.
